Someone asked this on a U2 forum and I thought it was interesting:

What would you like your Patronus to be if you could have one?

I think I would like mine to be a tiger.

Still haven't watched OoTP. I'm hoping to go tonight. It appears as if it's an either love it or hate it film, from the opinions I've heard/read. The movies have all been somewhat disappointing for me thus far, so my expectations are not too high.

With the exception of the 1st film (which I thought all in all was a pretty close adaptation of the book) I too have been really disappointed with the movies. In fact I hated PoA. With that being said I really liked OotP and thought that it was the best book to screen adaptation so far.

Are things left out? Of course, it is a huge book with lots going on, but I think Michael Goldenberg did an excellent job at deciding what was important. Also, he & director David Yates did a great job at cleaning some of the storyline messes created by the previous directors & screen writers. And as a bonus, it's funny.

Goodness, sorry I didn't mean to come in here and write a small novel. lol I just get to talking HP and can't stop. I have seen the movie twice and liked it even better the 2nd time so I hope that you will enjoy it as well.

The reason why I came in here lol:

I think I would like for mine to be fish.

I agree. I liked the first one better than the rest.

I think some people expected them to be able to get the whole book into the movie, maybe that's what has caused some of the bad reviews.

Thanks! Hopefully I will catch it tonight. :)

Any particular reason? Just curious.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've had this strange fascination with fish. Turns out in many cultures fish are seen as symbols of determination, perseverance & courage. It just seems fitting. :0]

I agree, but there is no way possible to do it. And IMO, with the way the 2 previous movies were adapted there is no way possible to tell all the story lines as they are told in the books. With the screen writers and the directors making so many "creative" changes in GoF & PoA things have to be left out for continuity.

I didn't know that. That's cool.

part of me wants my patronus to be a gigantic penis, just to confuse everyone else when they saw it. but the rest of me prefers a flamingo.

This made me laugh.
Thanks :)
