Looking at my TV... I can honestly say I have never seen a more beautiful crowd. Thank God almighty.

ETA: I want to go outside and hug strangers.

ETA 2: Very gracious speech by McCain. I have newfound respect for him.

It's so amazing. I keep pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

*bounces around with you*

*big hugs* Its a beautiful day!

I want to hug strangers too, and I'm not American *lol* I've only felt more satisfied with an election victory once, and that was ours last year <3 it's so nice to feel that change is in the air, we can only hope it really goes that way.

McCain's speech was very gracious indeed, I was impressed. Obama's as well, I didn't want him to stop talking.

As an outsider looking in this is a fantastic result, absolutely fantastic.

I'm still in shock! Really proud that Florida actually went to Obama, though upset that we voted yes to Prop 2.

I don't know how I'm going to get any sleep, I'm so freakin keyed up!

Yeah, the prop 2 and prop 8 thing really put a damper on an otherwise perfect day. :(

I've mostly just been trying not to think about that part much yet.

WOO OBAMA! (is mostly whats goin on in my head

The awe and hope and joy in the faces of that crowd was a beautiful thing to behold.

PS I agree, McCain was surprisingly gracious in his concession speech.

The awe and hope and joy in the faces of that crowd was a beautiful thing to behold.

Exactly! It gave me goosebumps.

I was impressed with McCain's speech too, but those douchebag supporters in the crowd booing at his mention of Obama ruined it for me. The thousands of supporters present during Obama's acceptance speech, who applauded McCain for how hard he fought, just proved how much more classy we are.

BUT OMG! I was in Times Square when the results were called, and we really were hugging strangers! I've never seen anything like it. One of every color, literally, celebrating this win together. I don't cry, but I was teary-eyed being in that crowd. Makes me proud to be an American again.
