  • I haven't seen any of the nominated films (except Eternal Sunshine which I hope wins for Original Screenplay) but I'm rooting for Johnny Depp all the way!

I'm not doing much better, I've seen: KINSEY, THE INCREDIBLES, BEFORE SUNSET (great, great film, if you've seen before sunrise you have to see this film), SHARK TALE, SHREK 2, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, TROY, THE VILLAGE, THE POLAR EXPRESS and I, ROBOT, actually I haven't done badly this year.....

Actually, I saw The Incredibles and Shrek 2. I somehow didn't realize those were on the list, LOL. And I just rented Before Sunset, because of your rec. :)

If you enjoyed before sunrise you'll really like this one, although the ending made me want to scream, I realy appriciated it none the less, I hope you enjoy it, and I would love to hear what you thought of it :)

Aww, just finished watching it. What a lovely movie. I love that, like Before Sunrise, it's so understated but at the same time, so deep. It feels like watching two real people having a conversation. I liked the ending, though. :)

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I totally loved the ending, it made me think about the posibilities, and that little smirk by Ethan when he goes "I know", it was just brilliant, still I wanted to have an ended, so I guess I just found it frustrating but totally loved the ending it was perfect :)

LOL, no, I know what you mean. It was kinda like 'huh?' But I'm pretty sure what was gonna happen, just by looking at his face... guh!

Haven't seen many of those, but I loved Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind.

Though I'm kinda bummed that Fahrenheit 9/11 isn't nominated....

    But yeah, go Johnny!

I loved Eternal Sunshine too, very original and sweet. And yeah, a bit disappointed about Farenheit 9/11, but not really surprised. *shrugs* I guess TPTB didn't think it deserved recognition. Maybe if the election's results had been different, it would have been another story.

I'm pretty sure Michael Moore told his people not to have the film nominated. He said he already won an Oscar for Columbine and wants to give other directors a chance. He sacrificed pushing for an Oscar to focus on getting his films in more theatres pre-election last year.

Oh... well, thanks for the info. I had no idea.

Eternal Sunshine was THE movie of the year for me. It made me think, reminisce and appreciate love more.
    I hope it wins lots.

Yes, such a beautiful movie. Wonder why it wasn't nominated for Best Movie. Huh. But that's usually the case with the movies I like the best. :)
